Metallic Prints Contest @ Scrapping Simply

Hi. My name is Meredith and I am addicted to metallic photo paper. Whew! I feel much better now that I have that out of the way.

About a month ago, Rex from Scrapping Simply emailed me and sent me a template he created. He asked me if I would use the template and let him use it as a sample. Absolutely! It took all of five minutes for me to finish and upload the project. I completely forgot about the image I sent him. Yesterday, I received a package in the mail from Scrapping Simply. I knew that I hadn't ordered any prints and the size was all wrong for prints anyway. I was pretty excited! I opened up the box and I found this...

It's a photo box with the print created on metallic photo paper! It is absolutely gorgeous! I took this photo with the flash turned on so you can see the brilliance of this photo paper. None of the photos I took do it justice. You have to experience metallic photo paper in order to really understand its beauty.

Scrapping Simply is currently having a Metallic Paper Contest! It's a great reason to try it!

I have a set of calendars for you as well. These calendars were designed to fit the bleed requirements for Calendar Printing at Scrapping Simply! They'll even bind & assemble your calendar for you! I am sure that these calendar QuickPages will work with other printers as well, but Scrapping Simply is my printer of choice!
They are available in four sizes: 4x6, 5x7, 8.5x11, & 12x18
Don't worry, I am only going to show you one set of them.

Here you can take a little bit closer look at them. Each page is designed with a single piece of muslin fabric to provide continuity throughout the calendar. These samples are the 5x7 calendars. And last up today, I have an adorable little QuickPage album that I designed for my niece Gracie's Baptism. (Hi Gracie!!!) Gracie is a sweet and tender-hearted little girl who likes to be a girly-girl, but she also has a little bit of a sassy side. This album captures that feeling with bold colors mixed with soft colors. This album is intended to record memories of an LDS baptism and probably wouldn't be appropriate for a baptism for another faith, as it uses faith-specific terminology. You can see more detailed photos in the preview at Elemental Scraps. I am hoping to have a boy version as well as larger versions available in the coming month!

There are lots of paper packs, element packs, alphas, date packs, etc. You pick the ones you love and then you end up with a coordinating collab that you created yourself! And now... for a proud Mom moment! :) My older daughter, Hannah, is four years old. She loves arts and crafts and she also loves the computer! She has been bugging me for over a year to teach her how to make scrapbook pages. I am a busy mom and I just don't have the time (or patience!) to sit down and teach her how to use Photoshop. Well, my good friend, Amy Sumrall, has created a Shape Up! scrapbooking system designed to teach digital scrapbooking to people as young as 4 years old. After watching the first video, Hannah was able to create the page below using Photoshop and the included kit. She dressed the paperdolls all by herself! This is just one of her pages. She hasn't gotten to the point that she wants to put photos on her pages yet. This is just another creative, non-messy, outlet for her! Perfect for when I don't want little scraps of paper all over my house! Check out Amy's blog for more details about this system!
